MSKCC Scholarship
Scholarship for Pediatric Cancer Patients, survivors, and the siblings of those affected
Beginning in 2020, the Daniel Sadagursky Scholarship Fund Inc has shifted our path and will now be giving scholarships directly to pediatric cancer patients and/or their siblings who are treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC).
To Be eligible to apply for The Daniel Sadagursky Scholarship Fund Memorial Award Through MSKCC, you must apply to one of the following categories:
Be a pediatric cancer patient who is currently being treated at MSKCC
Be A pediatric cancer survivor who is/was treated at MSKCC
Be A sibling of a pediatric cancer patient, survivor, or those who lost their hard fought battle and were/are treated at MSKCC
If you apply to one of the three above categories, you must also meet the following conditions:
Be attending currently, or set to attend in the next school term a 4-year accredited College or University
Be a US Citizen
Be between the ages of 16 and 24
If you apply to all the above criteria, to be eligible for this award you must submit:
A personal essay describing:
a. How cancer has affected you and your outlook on life
b. What you aspire to do with your career
c. Any goals you hope to achieve
A letter of recommendation from a member of your current school or MSKCC Staff member
Proof of your acceptance to the college you are going to be attending or proof you are currently enrolled in college
** Please do not submit your college application essay - Your application should be of personal nature & your response to why you are a perfect applicant for this scholarship. It should be from the heart speaking of your experiences and your growth **
All submissions are due no later than April 15th
